Hudson River Bells, Athens NY
Hudson River Bells are now in need of 1 or 2 experienced ringers, whether you have rung
recently, or have to dust off your ringing skills.
We are an intergenerational, volunteer, community group, with rehearsals based at the First
Reformed Church, Athens, NY. We ring one Sunday a month for the church service, and ring 2
or 3 public concerts locally, usually in the spring.
We generally ring music of levels 2-4 with 5 octaves of Malmark bells and chimes.
We encourage you to consider joining us if you are ready to:
- Ring a variety of music repertoire from classical, to jazz, to pop, to sacred and more
- Enhance your handbell knowledge and your ringing skills
- Want to ring with a choir that enjoys fun and fellowship, yet is dedicated to quality
We rehearse on Thursdays from 7:15 – 8:30 PM, beginning the new season in September, at the
First Reformed Church of Athens, NY (30 miles south of Albany, and 4 miles north of Catskill)
